Congratulations on having completed our seventh year as a Tuskegee Airmen Chapter in the Memphis area.

During the past year we awarded a combined total of three (3) Memphis Chapter Educational Assistance Fund and Aviation Assistance Fund (Scholarship) awards of $1000 each. We allocated $1500 to be used by our members to conduct the June 2003 Summer ACE Camp for youth ages 14-18.

In October 2003 we hosted Aviation Career Week in which Aviation Professionals from around the country visited more than 10,000 children in the Memphis City Schools. The event ended with a Job Fair with exhibit booths displayed by several aviation related educators, recruiters and supporters. An original Tuskegee Airmen was the guest speaker.

In February 2004 we hosted the MEMPHIS AVIATION PROFESSIONALS Annual Luncheon and Youth Awards. Our chapter also provided tickets for students to attend this luncheon at no cost to the students.

Our membership for 2003 increased to it's highest level since the formation of the chapter. Many youth benefit from our presence, our examples, and our actions. I request that each of you "remain a member", "recruit a member", and "keep involved" so that we can make 2004 and even better year.
